Today is Columbus Day.  The day in which we remember Christopher Columbus’ arrival to the Americas.  In honor of this great day and this man whom came from Italy, I’m celebrating everything Italian today.  Italy, with its great vineyards, amazing food and rich history, seems to be a heritage that we are infatuated with.  Who doesn’t love all things Italian?!

This is such a cool post you have here today, Margaret! Even more because I’m in the middle of planning a trip to Rome. I’ve been in the lakes and mountains regions, but not in the capital. Should be fun! Have you ever been in Rome?

    Arrivedeci, for now 🙂

Italy yes Columbus no. He actually was a horrible person and the history we learned as kids white washed his genocide of American Indians. Also apparently he was not the first explorer to find America.

  3. Hey Maggie, Wow. I am so grateful that you’ve found my blog… I’m about to dig in and see more about who you are and what you’re up to in the world which surely needs more magic. Thank you for ‘getting’ today’s thoughts on magic… I have to say that when I saw this, Mama Mia! it sure made me homesick for Italy… I just left there two days ago and am already counting the days until I return!!!
